Currently, Captiva is one of seven Approved Publishing Partners (APPs) and 39 Approved Training Providers (ATPs) under the esteemed DoD CMMC framework.

To ensure that our training practice and course materials are of the highest quality, we welcome external reviews and examinations, which are also required by DoD’s CMMC and the NASBA qualification processes. To meet our stringent internal quality requirements, our training courses undergo a multi-level annual review. During this process, we ensure alignment with requirements of the certification exam as stipulated by the endorsing organization, as outlined in the body of knowledge or blueprint; industry best-practices, government mandates and directives, such as DoD Directive (DoDD) 8140.01 and NIST’s National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) framework.

Audience – Our training courses address the needs of seasoned professionals, college graduates, new entrants, and personnel affected by DoDD 8140.01 and other requirements.
Instructors – Our training courses are taught by internal staff members or Independent Training Partners (ITPs) who are seasoned subject matter experts and industry practitioners. At the end of each training course, we share student feedback as suggestions to the respective instructor, to enhance future training sessions. 
Approach – Our training program combines theory, real-world application, focused delivery, and post-class support to enhance knowledge retention and guarantee success; providing students with the knowledge and job skills they need to “hit the ground running.” 
Materials – Course materials, such as study guides and training aids are provided to support instruction. Our course materials are developed with the audience in mind and are updated annually to maintain pace with industry trends. 
Delivery – Our training courses are delivered live, on-demand, self-paced, or virtually. Our classes are interactive and use several learning methods to encourage engagement and assimilation of course material. 
Size – Our courses feature small, group classes in a relaxed setting encouraging optimum learning. Class sizes range from four to ten people. These small class sizes ensure quality training, allow instructors to dedicate sufficient time to each student, providing prompt assistance, and ensuring that problem areas are immediately addressed.
Duration - Each course varies in duration and range from as short as a couple of hours to as long as 12 weeks for combination tracks. We also offer various schedule options, including daytime, evening, and weekend.
Tuition – Tuition covers all standard course benefits such as course materials, refreshments, and a Certificate of Completion. We also provide add-on services such as resume review, interview preparation, and on-the-job support as needed.
Facilities – Training is offered online, at your site, or at our Training Center where classrooms are equipped with modern tools and technologies to ensure students get a complete learning experience.

Our foundational courses are designed for individuals that are new to the specific field with less than two (2) years of professional experience.

INTERMEDIATE COURSES (LEVEL 2)
Our intermediate courses are designed for individuals with a basic understanding of terms and concepts and those who have two (2) or more years of professional experience.

ADVANCED COURSES (LEVEL 3)
Our advanced courses are designed for individuals with a good understanding of terms and concepts with at least five (5) or more years of professional experience.

Captiva offers the best possible training for your investment and each completed instructor-led course carries our unbeatable guarantee which allows you to retake a similar course for free within six (6) months of completing the original course. This guarantee only applies if the student completes the class and has signed the class roster each day.
